I keep trying to get started with FPGA's . I've bought one of the early myStorm boards as I thought the toolchain would be easier to work with. I DONT want to use XILINX or any other bloated software. I've tried Papilio FPGA (it uses the XILINX toolchain) Is it possible to use any of your boards for a VERY BASIC introduction to FPGA's. All I want to do is program an inverter, then an AND gate, OR gate etc using VHDL or VERILOG and then use a switch and an LED for an input and output respectively. I feel a little overwhelmed when reading the forum. Where can I start learning this very basic stuff. I also hope to learn as I go along and use the more advanced features of the myStorm boards. Thanks.
PS What is the most recent mystorm board currently in development ? I only have one of the most early boards, and I'd like to upgrade.
