@lawrie has made quite a few posts about Spinal HDL and it looks very interesting, so I have a setup based on the normal SBT template which works with Visual Studio Code, that runs on OS X, Linux and Windows. Along with some Spinal HDL stolen from Lawrie.
You get indexed code, including the Spinal HDL stuff, Code completion, error checking, and the ability to build, run simulations and upload to the IceCore.
