Meanwhile, here is some more hardware support. I thought I would try to talk to an ESP01 ESP8266 modules as a have a couple of then lying around and would be good to get Wifi access from BlackIce.
This could do with a Pmod made for it.
I am using the existing mod_rs232 uart module for this. But I do seem to get some corruption of the data, I think on the read. The ESP01 is using the nodemcu lua firmware, but the example should work with the original AT software, if the baud rate parameter is set correctly.
The example, called esp01, reads a command from /dev/ttyUSB0, sends it to the ESP01, reads the reply, and sends it to /dev/ttyUSB0.
