I have the Alinx AN108 AD/DA device I bought from AliExpress working in a trivial way with Blackice II.
It really needs a Pmod to connect it the BlackIce board, but I am not sure how to do that. The ADC needs 8 data pins and a clock pin, and the DAC the same. So it needs 18 pins plus GND and 5v. So that would need a triple Pmod. I currently get the 5v from the Arduino header. A double Pmod is a possibility to just connect the data pins, but with a separate header to connect the 5V, GND and two clocks.
Currently my code just displays the 8-bit ADC value on a n 8 LED Pmod.
The BNC connectors have a voltage range of -5 to +5v.
I am considering using it for an oscilloscope project like Matt Venn's crap-o-scope, which displays the waveform on a VGA monitor. Sending it to a Gameduino screen connected to the Arduino headers would be even better, to produce a portable oscilloscope.
Another project I am considering using it for is a software-defined radio like iceradio. That would need an RF tuner, but I don't think my soldering skills are up to building the one in the iceradio project, so I am looking for alternatives.
