I see (like in IceCore.sch) that it's made in Eagle (now owned by Autodesk). I also see that there is a free, limited version for hobbyists and makers. Not enough for making the IceCore board of course, but for people like me who would solder (Pmods or MixMods?) anyhow (or buy)? I did download and opened IceCore.sch. Will the free version very soon limit me so much that I am really heading for a monthly subscription?
I have become used to using iCircuit over some years now and it fills most of my needs. I can draw diagrams and subcircuits, plus simulate. Rather nice and free.
I have also tested Fritzing that takes care of chip-type diagrams, routing on breadboards and it can also help with making or ordering printed circuit boards. I also believe, mounted.
Any comments? (I use Mac)
