I'm working on a project which will be using a TI ADC08200 board to collect 8-bit samples at 100 Msps. The board is presently being used with a Cyclone II fpga board. I have some verilog that starts collecting samples into bram and then when full, stops and sends the results over a serial link for analysis.
I'd like to use the BlackIce II with the TI ADC and use the SRAM to store more sample data. From what I can see, the bram could store 10K bytes of samples but the 4Mb SRAM offers plenty of storage. Since I'm new to fpga programming, I was hoping someone here could comment on the feasibility of doing this with the blackice ii. Not so much how to do it, but if it could be done with the blackice ii.
(Eventually this may evolve to 500Msps using something like the AD9690 14-Bit 1 GSPS JESD204 device.)
